TERMS OF USE (last update: 14/07/2023)
Please read these Terms carefully before using the Site, extracted from the Technical Regulation. It is recommended to print a copy of these Terms for future reference. By using the Site, the User accepts the Terms specified below and agrees to comply with them. The User may not use the Site if they do not accept these Terms.
8. General Terms of Use
8.1. User Account and Password
The User is responsible for the account created on the Platform. Username and password are confidential and must not be shared with third parties. For security reasons, the password must be complex and must be changed every 6 months; furthermore, the login session is terminated by the system after 360 minutes of inactivity.
If the User knows or suspects that another person is aware of their credentials, they must change their password by accessing their User profile on the site.
The Administrator reserves the right to deactivate the User’s account at any time if the User has not complied with these Terms.
8.2. Intellectual Property Rights
The Site was developed by WOM srl on behalf of the Department of Human Sciences of the University of Verona to support the training of teacher trainees in support activities which, by law (Legislative Decree No. 66/2017, art. 5), they will be required to collaborate in the construction of the Biopsychosocial Functioning Profile based on ICF, as well as to support the training of students attending special pedagogy and inclusion courses at the University.
The tools available on the platform derive from extensive research involving Prof. Angelo Lascioli as scientific coordinator and Dr. Luciano Pasqualotto as researcher. The research and development of the tools were also supported through scholarships and research grants from the Department of Human Sciences of the University of Verona.
In order to ensure that research results translate into real benefits for society, the site and tools are made available free of charge to all those who wish to use them, in compliance with the rules and purposes for which they were created.
The holder of the intellectual property rights of the ICF tools included on the Site developed by WOM is Dr. Luciano Pasqualotto. These rights are protected under applicable laws and international treaties.
The User is authorized to print pages of the Site and download extracts for their own personal use or to share them with others within their organization. The User may not use the Site or the material it contains for commercial purposes.
8.3. Account Duration
The account has unlimited duration, unless the service is deactivated by the University. The User can autonomously delete their account by accessing their profile or may request its deletion by sending an email to info@icfapplicazioni.it.
8.4. Retention of Questionnaires and Profiles
The questionnaires and profiles of assessed subjects can be deleted at any time by the User; otherwise, they are retained indefinitely.
Upon account deletion, all data entered by the user is automatically removed.
8.5. Limitation of Liability
The University of Verona and WOM srl exclude any liability towards the User for damages or losses arising from or related to:
- the User’s inability to use the Site;
- misuse of information or materials contained on the Site.
The ICF Applicazioni website, in order to offer a more complete information service, allows links to external websites. However, the University of Verona and WOM srl are not responsible for the content and reliability of linked websites and cannot guarantee that such links and linked pages will function correctly when visited by the User.
8.6. Use of Site Content
If the User wishes to use the content of the Site in ways different from those indicated above, they must contact the administrator at the email address: info@icfapplicazioni.it.
The Department of Human Sciences of the University of Verona reserves the right to use the processing of anonymous profiles for research, publication, and dissemination purposes.
The University of Verona and WOM srl are not responsible to third parties for content published by the User on the Site. It is the User’s responsibility to provide information to the data subjects regarding the data submitted.
8.7. Indemnity
The User agrees to hold harmless and indemnify the University of Verona and the company WOM srl from any liability, damage, and cost (including, without limitation, legal fees) they may incur as a result of: (i) a violation by the User of the General Terms of Use or the representations and warranties set forth herein; (ii) claims by third parties based on the User’s use of the Site and/or material or on the User’s use of the Site and/or material in violation of the General Terms of Use; (iii) information or material that has been sent, transmitted, or uploaded by the User or through their account.
